  Appreciative Coaching

Appreciative coaching includes four phases—each phase is designed to help you achieve positive results at the end of the 12-week process. Each phase typically takes 2-3 sessions to complete. The four phases are:

Discovery Phase: Questions to help you, 1) discover what is working in your present situation, 2) identify and affirm your parenting strengths, and 3) help you develop increased awareness around your current parenting issue.

Dream Phase: Questions to help you, 1) envision a preferred future with the possibility of reaching your goals as a parent, 2) identify those areas in your life that are creating road blocks to gaining clarity of your dream, and 3) gain the confidence and courage to start living your dream.

Design Phase: Questions to help you, 1) identify those qualities in yourself and your family members that are important for you to move closer to your dream, 2) construct action steps that you can then use to move towards your preferred future, and 3) appreciate the qualities in yourself and your family members to improve your effectiveness as a parent.

Destiny Phase: Questions to help you, 1) celebrate the positive changes that are taking place in your life, 2) recognize the evidence that your preferred future is becoming a reality, and 3) accept the life changes that have brought your dream closer to the present.
